Nice Vid. Glad to see you guys working together. 8 Second 1M Super Pi was awesome. That smackover boards isn't that bad at all. Can't wait for those 3 stage results!

Did you see that thread where there was a site that said Fugger was gonna be there OC'ing? He said later on in the thread he was still trying to figure out what was going on.

I was making jokes about "Maybe they'll let you in on it". I can't find the thread now. Maybe somebody had to lock it and remove it. That's happened alot lately. Maybe it's in that "special place" where you can see it though. :)

Guess I'll have to break down for the trip and make myself all pretty so I don't scare people..

somewhere on this forum is a pic of me up in Canada fishing in 2006.
I'd let my beard go as the black flies are brutal up there.
Imagine standing at the shore of a lake and within 18" all around you are 50,000-100,000 biting flies. Even with hats with mosquito netting sewn in covering your face they get you.
Forgot to wrap a scarf around my neck and had over 150 bites on the back of my neck.

 You found it. That was a 10.5lb northern pike that screamed around that cove at over 30MPH once hooked for app 10-15 minutes..
He did NOT want to come out of the water and if you look at the gloves I'm wearing in that pic they are "fish proof".. Like divers gloves only thicker.
Pike have real sharp teeth and they are vicious predators..
Now thats 10lbs, I've seen one mounted on a wall from that lake that has to be over 35lbs..

This is from my Buddies Milke M and Mike H (thanks for going the extra miles), this is a freak of statistic, this part is not in the middle distribution of the curve, it actually leak some serious current ... but it does OC, really, like hell.
6Ghz, i know i can do it already, let s see what is the next Digit :), and to make sure everything is fair, I ll be joining a master of OC, he knows better than I do about LN2 :)

Was this test a success or failure? :)

I got some some very interesting information out of this, I can give very fine tuned feedback to the process technology guys. We will continu to focus on raising Mhz, while lowering power. This should keep the increase of aircool Mhz to raise, and it is what matter the most.
From Air to -100C, we have 700Mhz ... If you want to be power efficent at ambiant temperature, you need High K transistors, every body agrees on this.

5 GHz on air surely is impressive! :toast: But somehow I expected to see 6 GHz or more with the triple stage =/ Any coldboot problems using the monster?

Anyway, I would take 2 of those CPUs :p:

i was born in Europe
Pike is a very common fish in Save River (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sava) which i grew up on ;)
it wasnt uncommon to see catches up to 10-20lb and some odd ones at 30lb
i took a photo with my next door neighbour with a 14kg ~31lb pike once :)

Best thing would be if it was actually possible to validate at this frequency for server deployments.. Tell IBM where they can stuff their POWER with a 5GHz Beckton. ;)

Nope, missed that one..It was in the PII thread I believe...that a OC competiiton between AMD and Intel would occur at CES2009 and Intel would use FUGGER. FUGGER posted back saying it was news to him and that was a busy week for him already...or something along those lines. It was pretty funny.

Sounds great overall, and if that is your goal then I'll presume that LN2 overclocking will yield even smaller gains then what we see know. Whatever this video shows us, AMD's knew line will score higher in frequency's if what we see is in fact correct, when using N2. On the other hand, i7 will be superior when using air. Correct? Of course, the market is not asking for chips which show great gains at -150...

That picture, is there anything where we can compare with? What tools were used?
