after several tests, i found that my cooler master is somewhat causing my rig to not boot, pressing on the upper right corner of the cooler make the system post (looks like some kind of pressure differential on screws)
replacing V8 by intel stock cooler solves the issue...

i'm trying to find a proper way to make this work...more brain computing on this one should help so here i am :D

Make sure the V8's mount is'nt grounding you out underneath the motherboard.. i'm almost sure that this is your problem.. it's a short somewhere.. the actual cooler touching the case or something to do with your mounting hardware. Take your motherboard out of the case and put the V8 on there. This will tell you if i'm right or not.

thanks, i actually did that and notice that the mounting parts on the cooler side were not in contact with the motherboard
so i was putting too much pressure on the mother board by over titening the screws...doing it by hand only is solving the issue for now...i'm still testing but seems my issue is resolved !

I was just looking at the V8 specs salivating over installing one in my system, so I'm glad i found your post first. The weight of thing is ungodly (1.91 pounds!!) Sure looks good though :D

i had that as well when the motherboard was mounted vertically, the mounting system is absolute junk for its size.
