View Full Version : Max OC on my Asus???

I cant go past 2ghz 200x10, I have the 1006 bios which I think is holding me back (I hope so). I dloaded the uber 1007 and Ill try ocing tonight. Do you guys think that Im stuck because of my Bios? :toast:

i got a rev 1 and the 1006 got a duron 1600@ 2440 195x12.5
rams 5/4 7-2-2-2

the uber bioses only give u 2.9 ram and 1.8 agp volts...

dont see any other differences and there r no new biosed for my rev 1 board anyway...

i tried the 1004 uber... wont even boot at 195x12.5 ...

ill keep my 1006

dont think its ur bios... u ever tried to up the vcore?

God damnit! i cant believe u got up to 2.4g with a duron and I cant go past 2g with my barton 2500+. I tried upping the vcore alot...alot up to 1.85

have you tried moding the board. Would give you a lot more space to OC...

btw try set the CPU FSB jumper to 100 -- sometimes there´s a quite large gain..!

I have the 1005 bios on my Asus A7N8X Deluxe rev.2. Where can I dowload the best uber bios to at least get the vdimm to 2.9 and the CPU to higher voltage options. I really dont want to solder anything right now on my mobo, so if the uber bios can get me higher voltage options I rather go that way for now.:D

2.9v in the uber bios only results in around 2.87v but still ebtter than 2.8v

u wont get more vcore options...

i tried a uber bios and i couldnt set it higher than 1.75 (standard 1.5)

if u want to get 1.85 u should try a pinmod... i did that...

u can unlock bartons and tbreds and set multi or vcore with the pinmod

no, the a7n8x rev2.0 has vcore up to 1.85 (results in 1.92v on my board)

vanrick, get the 1005, 1005.002 or the 1007. 1005 has higher agp and vdimm, but fsb maxes out at 233.

the rev ahs 1.85 too

but if u got a cpu that only needs 1.5 default u cant set it higher than 1.75...

and the uber bioses dont give ya the 1.85 in my/this case
