HIT 2008 - Great OC and Modding event in Russia

[SF3D]

Once again I will take part on this super nice event in Russia :D
It will be held in St. Petersburg on 28th of November to 30th November. There will be Russian overclocking battle/finals in there and a lot of really great case mods. Home interactive Technology event is full of new electronics from all home theater vendors, TV makers and and so on.



This time there will be more guests from Europe and Russia.

Main guest will be Pieter-Jan Plaisier from Belgium. We all know him as Massman:

The idea of this event is to have a lot of fun and have some good benchmark scores at the same time. I will try to bench hard this year and I'm not going to dance or drink much... Yeah right :D

OT: btw petri i got the E8600 today ..:up: its pretty nice even with my cascade 6.170 mhz was no broblem i will try to get more out of it and tinker with the bios settings :yepp:

We had a one hour bench session yesterday and we managed to test my E8600 chip.

This time we found good Rampage Extreme and we got it up to 665 fsb with PL9.

I just arrived to my home. The last part of the trip with my car was horrible, cause it was raining and it is really dark in here at the moment.

We managed to run Dual card 05 this morning. I'm afraid that both my 4870X2 cards are dead now, cause I lost display signal for some reason. Cards were on stock cooler and no hard clocks..

Well this is what we got:

We were able to run this test at 6430MHz, but we lost the second card and the GT3 was lost too.

At least I see your team still don't know how to run CarHigh on GTX280 (it must be ~100 fps higher). And I hope will not, because some things must remain away from public places.

It was really good to finally meet you and have some (:rofl:) drinks together.

Yeah, I finally got this setup running very stable over 6GHz. The 6,3G was done with only 1.76v on the cpu, so I will be testing this setup more in the near future.

you have to manually turn off a few extra options for exactly the same gain

What do you mean Dino?
MIPMAP 'tweak' his a whole different different ball game from changing settings in Riva.

Just because something doesnt require finding an optimal setting (e.g. LOD vs clicking Performance setting in CP) doesnt make it as bad as MIPMAP.

Mostly they are opposed to MIPMAP because there are no longer any graphics on screen i think.
If they opposed MIPMAP simply because it was easy, then LSC etc would be considered the same.

Well.. I was standing next to these guys and I saw the screen while they were running 01. The picture was there and you could clearly see the fisherman on the rock etc.

If someone found some tweak, which is lowering image quality, but is not altering the bitmaps I'm OK with that. It is totally different thing compared to MIPMAP.

These guys gave the tweak out, so everyone should be happy and try it themselves. I hope we could discuss something else than this :(

As far as graphics are concerned its better then LOD, i can hardly see any difference with the tweak on/off though it gains as much FPS as LOD 4 here with GTX280. Thanks for sharing.
