Haven't air cooled in years, can I achieve my goal with this?

I dusted off my old Scythe Infinity cooler and my good clocking E6600 (3.9GHz using 1.48v under water) my goal with air cooling is 3.4GHz, obviously the chip is capable, but will the Infinity cooler with 2 100cfm 120mm fans be able to control the heat? Is 3.4Ghz easy, perhaps 3.6GHz?

I wouldn't be surprised if 3.8 is attainable if you had 3.9 on water :cool:

Most Scythe Infinities are pretty damn good...though some seem disfunctional and just won't perform (like the one Anandtech got for review).

My E4600 can handle 3,4ghz @ 1.425volts easy with OCZ Vendetta 2 with an Noctua 120mm 1300rpm fan. temps: 30 idle when gaming 45-50
