Softmod question

Hi y'all,

Got myself a Club 3D 9700PRO, and i'm browsing the web for quite a while trying to find if it is possible to softmod my 9700 PRO to a 9800PRO ...

I'm really dissapointed from the results this card gave me in 3Dmark 2001SE, i only got 16141 points out of it (stock speed).
My setup is :
Epox 8RDA+
Corsair XMS PC 3500 (running at that moment 195 FSB @ 4 2 2 2)
AXP 1700+ running at 2730Mhz (14 x 195)
(with similar settings i got 15585 3Dmarks with my overclocked GF4 TI4400 months ago)


What am i doing wrong, i've used the Catalist 3.6 driver because the 3.7 driver suckt...

get the omega drivers, they softmod the card.

Already tried them, but they had the same kind of "bug" in it like the 3.7 Catalist driver...

Just went to the shop where i bought the damn thing, according to the salesman the problem is the chip on the card, so he "DOA" 'ed the card, and i'm getting a new one, lets hope that one's fine :toast:
