Problems with Asus Maximus II Formula SupremeFX X-Fi

Hi guys,
Does the Asus Maximus II Formula SupremeFX X-Fi audio card work on any other motherboard?:shrug:
My boards can´t detect the card when it is installed in the pci-e 1X slot. Is the card dead or is there a way to get it to function. Thanks for the advice in advance.

question about this mobo/card, as far as drivers are concerned, which ones can you use ? can you use the ones off of creatives site? or does it have to be the asus ones or some form of the mobo xf-i driver ?

normal drivers wont work, you would need hacked drivers if they are even out there (not worth the trouble). i tryed using my Striker 2 formula sound card on my older computer but i couldnt get it to work. tryed every diver i found. and different slots,
