I have yet to see any other brand of aftermarket air heatsink for the GTX260/280 series. I have also yet to hear any other replies or information from anyone else who might be in the know about this, such as some of the Reviewers here who do such great reviews and tests on cpu heatsinks and fans:D
Thermalright is very late releasing their HR-03GTX, but it is supposed to be coming out soon, either this month or next month, depending on who at Thermalright Support answers the e-mail inquiry:rolleyes:

The stock cooler does do a fairly good job considering the high heat output of the 200 series (with the exception of the unlucky buyers who received one of the faulty cards that overheated to temps reaching 105C.). Anyone who is not on water is currently running their 260/280's with the stock cooler, like it or not. I run mine at 100% fan speed 24/7, and the temps. are similar to yours, when overclocked, although not overclocked quite that high:p: I have been fitting aftermarket coolers to all of my cards for several years now, and I feel it's well worth it. But that's me. The majority won't be doing that, and will be quite content with the stock cooler.

I think looks are subjective, but I can appreciate the look of a primo heatsink fitted onto anything that benefits from it, be it a cpu, the mosfets, ram, or a video card. There is no question that a good aftermarket heatsink like the HR-03 series does provide a substantial reduction in temps. compared to the stock coolers. Another benefit is that you have a choice of whatever fan you wish to use, and can replace it easily. And they are much quieter than the stock heatsink fan is, especially when running at 100%.
As far as any other options, it would have been an opportunity for another company to step in while Thermalright is having their "paper-launch" of the HR-03GTX:D
