Hello folks,

I have 4870X2 and I want to play some games on my HDTV which is connected on the second DVI output via DVI to HDMI converter, HDMI cable and HDMI input on my TV.

I wasted few hours desperately trying to set my primary display to the second DVI output(where my TV is attached), so the games will be displayed on it, but without success.

I also couldn't find any option to set the 2nd display as a clone of the 1st. I can only use my second display as desktop extension to the first(which is absolutely useless in my case).

I did some googling, but I found nothing.

If anybody knows how to solve this problem please help me!

Thanks

EDIT: I'm running Vista Ultimate x64 with Catalyst 8.11

You might also need to go to your monitor settings and enable HDTV resolutions or something.

thank you Stevil!

I finally cloned the display in Windows. The problem is how to clone it while I play games. Whenever I run a game, there is nothing displayed on my TV :(.
The only way to play games on my TV was to unplug the DVI cable of the monitor. And that isn't a solution...

I dont bother with cloning while playing games.. its a bit annoying to change it all the time.

I wish more games gave you the option of which display (if you have 2 or more) you wanted to use...

What about setting the HDTV as the primary and "clone" that desktop to your normal monitor? It won't help if you want to game on your monitor, but switching between the two (or finding a script that can) could be your solution.
