PCI-E @ x8 problem. P5Q-E.

I reorganized my case and had to put my GPU in the second lowest PCI-E slot.

The specs on this board say that the black slots run at x16 speeds. My card is running at x8 speed according to GPU-Z.

Could GPU-Z (0.2.8) be misreading? I also recently updated drivers to 8.11.

Or is the board supposed to do this?

Also, all my other slots are empty. I only have one card in my PC and its the GPU.

I've had similar problems, my only solution was to change slots. I'm sure there's a fix, I just never found one.

That's not a solution. Anything else I can look into?

If this doesn't work then its a case of false advertising by ASUS.
