"You remind me of those people that put 30 inch tires on hondas.
How exactly do you justify spending money on something [TRUE Copper] that is no better than what you already had [Core Contact Freezer], save for the "bling" factor?"

CPU Cooling: TRUE Copper(lapped + washer + enzo + GWin 38mm fan) + IFX10

lol do you think youve done enough changes there? i bet if you added total price together for all those bits it would be silly.

needs more pictures of the cooling ;)

Also with watercooling you get the hot air OUT of the system (and not just from the cpu only).
I need 1.6 vNB to get my 8Gb ram at 1066 with my E8400. Add the 4Ghz of that E8400 and imagine the heat, that the psu and the back 120mm fan had to get rid of.

I don't get it:confused:, lol what are we comparing? pics would be nice...pics are always nice

I'll be the first to give you the reaction you were looking for and deserve.

That's just insane, the clocks, and the temperatures...but what were the ambients?

Either way that's very very impressive.

This is just very good! The best I have ever seen from aircooling so far!
Big congrats on that!

Can you post pics of the system? Is the TRUEcu on push/pull? What are the fans CMF rated at?

ATTENTION EVERYBODY, THIS COULD BE FAKE:

Counterpoise,

I am not jumping into any conclusions yet, and I like to give you a chance to explain yourself. If your results are legit, then please explain this situation.

I really hope you are not trying to be a smart ass here on XS, and fool everyone arround. You are a newcomer to XS, and usually those are the people doing this kinda thing.

I found the thread above, started by you, where you say that your E8600 has stuck sensors. Here it is, in your own words:

"Hello all, I have a problem.

I put in my just-arrived E8600 into my box and booted it up at 4.0ghz with the right voltages, works fine. Temps idle at 21C, max temp w/o fans on is 39C and with fans on go as low as 34C. Temps are also fluctuating as orthos is paging. So I restart the comp and set the speed at 4.3ghz with the same voltages, entered windows, and the temp sensors are stuck at where the 4.0ghz had 100% load temps. And now the temps are totally not moving at all.

Is this how stuck temp sensors "work" or can I fix it somehow? like with a bios flash of my p5q -deluxe? current bios is 1201 and the latest is 1400 something I believe."

This could mean, that those temps of your E8600 @ 4.7GHz aircooled, are not REAL temps, due to your chip having stuck sensors.

air cooling has been catching up on watercooling for awhile now. it will probably never be equal until something like that liquid metal cooler gets released or some new kind of technology. i can't justify getting watercooling for performance anymore for myself.

This is just fake, srly, 4.7Ghz on air at 35C Load, you must be kidding me. All other E8600 i ahve seen go past 4.5Ghz had to get more than 1.44V, 1.32? No way.

Would need about 0-10c ambient to get 35c loaded. Nice cpu, nice clocks, nice volts, nice cooler, but fake temps.

I don't believe this is real, if it is then he must have done it out side a -10C winter or something.

Well when i have it running i can't hear anything else (expect my birds). With my IFX-14 its not that great cause the IFX-14 doesn't benefit much more super fast fans. Thats another reason i want a copper true.

Also maybe its a fan like this?

Since this is a ridiculous thread I was just wondering.

Maybe - I don't know, but u'd want ear protection if u were going 2 use it longer then 5min.
