I have vista x64 ultimate and cannot get avi files to play through media center. I have k-lite codec pack and divx installed. Both versions of windows media player (vista and the old one that k-lite comes with) work. WMC needs other codecs. I don't understand since k-lite was set up to associate with WMC.

Has anyone here gotten this to work?

Get rid of the k-lite codec pack and install ffdshow 64-bit. Your avi's should play fine after that.

I'll try it when I get a chance.

Personally I just DL the CCCP (community something codec pack) and VLC Player plays anything :)
