too much seal string = bad evap head contact with cpu core => higher temps = bad

I put extra around the bottom edges of the plastic that's mounted on the motherboard. Make sure components going under the edge of the plastic are completely sealed. Air can move underneath most components. (Also make sure that the plastic is complete down on the motherboard, to ensure good cpu contact with the evaporator). I just use one layer on the cooling head before mounting on the processor, and after mounting I add another layer around the outside bottom edge of the cooling head. Better safe than sorry.

On a P4 it can make a difference, ive not noticed any on an AMD system myself, although I tend to reuse the same bits over and over.
