that's great and all, but why didn't you just post a screen shot? that would have been much easier to read and quicker than a 5min video. i could barely verify any numbers in SPi 1M. good job booting at those clocks though...

E8400 at 5.11G faster than Core I7 4.53G you say ? =) well.
Then e8400 at 5.11ghz runs superpi at 9.156 sec and look at Core I7 4.53G you see 9.187 sec  explaing that mate ;) not faster than core i7 at 4,53ghz
Ownage mate !

I think in that video he was booting with 2 cores enabled unless he can disable one core in bios? I know Rampage Extreme has that option but does the Biostar have that option as well?

BTW,you can get a 1M board to test if possible, this clock should be 8's something with the right board:shocked:
DFI LP DK P45 T2RS+ is good for 1M,so does Abit IP35 Pro
Anyway,dammmm nice chip there:clap:

I wouldn't mind the 9x multi if it clocks like that, any decent board nowadays can do 600+FSB.
The DFI T2RS is a very good board for 1M indeed, with a non 45nm supporting bios that is. ;)

To the OP: I realize XS places an odd fascination with SuperPI, but is this overclock OCCT stable? 3D Stable (e.g. passes a couple hours of regular gaming use)?

Wow you really put your foot in it
No :banana::banana::banana:e! We now know to put exactly ZERO worth into any posts from this cat. Hell, super-basic math escapes him. He understands how to spend money though! Doh.
And pyth's follow up was, well, he needs to run faster than 5.11 to beat the 4.53 I7.... What!? He already beat it at 5.11... reality is hard to swallow sometimes - I guess... :ROTF:

I run both, but I find that OCCT is not as hard as SPI is on overclocks. I can run the latest OCCT for hours (Rev 2.1 I think??) but if my settings aren't perfect, I'll crash SPI in 3 minutes. It's no 'fascination', SPI, especially 32M, is the last word in stability IMHO - aside from gaming. Gaming is the end all be all for stability as I can be ALL stress tests stable and still crash games. That's because the northbridge and video cards aren't pushed with any other stress tests. I wish there was an OCCT with video stress test. That would be the way to go.

I believe most extreme overclockers here are seeking for extreme speed and not for extreme stable
those haters on overclocker's superpi second why not challenge on CPUZ's capture screen....?? no meaning in this extreme site
why not just keep the mouth open if can't keep the mouth shut??

It has been stated, like a billion times ... this is Xtremesytems, that's the way we like to overclock, pushing the system to its limits ... knowing that the system is 32M stable, is enough for us, because we know that now we can bench some 3Ds with no problems at all :)
Screw stability ffs , this is www.xtremesystems.org :yepp:

Do you mean 9.156 is not faster than 9.187?
with times that close, it's all about who has the quickest reaction time at the tree
