Hey guys. Some weird goings on the last couple of days. Some of my applications refuse to start normally. The app will start and then do directly to system tray. In the tray, I have an option to restore, but that only pops the app back up for less then a second and goes back to systray. Other apps run fine. I've tried to uninstall and reinstall the problematic ones but it does not help. Also, if I have windows explorer open, anything I try to open will open behind explorer kind of like if I had task manager running (this is something new). Last thing is, if I click any icon and then click back on the desktop, the icon now has a golden border around it (also something new). Any suggestions appreciated.

Yeah I would try to turn the administrator account on and see if that works
Put this into the command line
Net user administrator /active:yes
And then log off and log onto the admin account and try from there and let us know.

Yep, tried that already. Same issue.

Fixed (sort of). It seems that my Logitech G5 was causing all the problems. It completely died yesterday and I replaced it with an old Dell optical I had laying around. All issues are now gone. Now I need a new mouse.
I had a similar situation when I had my Dell DJ hooked up. Crazy bugs for no reason and once I got rid of the DJ, no more issues.
