ok...on the lcd that say* NO MAINS* and a temps like 30celcius and the led say error 6...and the compressor doesn't start at all...and on nventiv site that says:

*LED Error 6

Question: What does this error mean ?
LEDS: Error Code 6
LCD shows: NO SHUT DOWN

Answer: The PC has not been shut down (dead lock). The compressor continues to cool.

Solution: Turn off the PC manually and verify that the yellow wire from the cooling unit is connected properly to the motherboard. If problem persists: Contact support@nventiv.com*

what guys do you think...broken prommy???

Make sure the molex connector from prommi to pc is connected, and that the ATX PSU of the PC is plugged in and switched on. If the prommi doesn't detect 12v on the yellow / black molex relay wire then it shuts down assuming PC has failed.

Run is thru exactly how you have it hooked up etc and we might be able to help more... we can't see it from here... pix would help.

We need to know exactly how you've wired it up, what hardware (mobo etc) you're using it, what wattage PSU etc etc. Details m'boy... details!

At the risk of sounding incredibly stupid here, you DO have the power cable plugged into the back of the cooling unit right...? Because it sounds like it doesnt get any power somehow

I was trying to avoid asking that question as my tact and subtlety gland was a bit poorly last night!

I Can't emphasize how important it is to make the right connections. Try removing the yellow wire from prommy and try to power up the board with a screwdriver. Also make sure that none of the pins are loose at the back of the control board. Hope u wont have to return it.
