I've got a dual-BIOS HD4870 from Palit here for a review that I ended up bricking. It has two BIOS on it that you can switch with physical switch. One BIOS works fine but I flashed the other and ran into the 64KB/128KB issue that everyone else ran into months back. The only problem is the GPU doesn't show up in ATIFlash in DOS, just says no adapter's found.

Is there a way to force a flash to a specific PCIe/device? The card isn't completely bricked as the 2nd BIOS is fully functional but I'd like to be able to recover the first BIOS just in case I brick it again :D

note- I read through the -----------fix Your Dead 4870----------- thread but that won't work without the card being recognized by ATIFlash/Winflash

Why don't you "hot-flash" it?

Right before you hit "yes" to flash, hit the switch on the card.

Will try it  Now that you mention it that would be the logical thing to do *face palm*

That should have been the first thing you should have tried :shakes:
