I've got the XFX MIA78S8209, which has been pretty good so far, but I've had a couple problems. First, no matter what I've tried, I can't get the BIOS to actually flash. It gets to 100% on writing, but then always fails on verify. I've made sure that the Write Protect setting is disabled, but it doesn't seem to do much.
Also, whenever I set the overclocking jumper on (2-3), it overclocks the FSB by 30Mhz, which is apparently too much for my Phenom 9600 BE. There don't seem to be any options for enabling the overclocking BIOS without actually overclocking it at all, nor do there seem to be any settings for changing the multiplier. Under AMD Overclocking options, I get a bunch of hex codes, but I don't think that's it?
Is there something obvious I'm missing here, or what? any help would be appreciated.
