Soundcard Advice for Headset w/ Mic on Vista x64

Well, the title pretty much says it all this time! I'm looking for some "sound" :D soundcard advice that will work for a headset w/ a mic on vista x64 bit. My onboard sound sucks donkey balls and I really need to find something that will do a decent job for me. I really would most appreciate advice from those who have a similiar setup as what I described in the title because honestly, "X-card works great for my speaker setup on XP" doesn't do me much good :shrug:

Also, the lower the price, the better. :up:

Reading your post ... I'm not sure if you need advice for both a headset (that includes a mic) and sound card?

If you need a headset then I've just bought a set of Sennheiser PC-350's and its the best gaming headset I've used so far, full large enclosed ear cans and very comfortable ... was considering some quality open headphones, but as I play late at night sometimes they would be impractical.

As for a sound card, well I'm looking to replace my X-Fi Extreme Gamer for something better soon, but the more I look and research the more perplexed I am :)
