Apparently you have to plug this into either A: a 220 outlet (aka the thing you hang ceiling fans from), or run one power cord to one outlet, and another to another outlet ON A DIFFERENT BREAKER just so the wires in your house dont fry and you dont trip a breaker......
seriously? That's badass, I'm so tempted by the shiny numbers... but I'd like you guys' opinion on it.

Wrong forum my friend.
And I don't trust its rating.

It's stupid anyway.
Pros: This thing is a BEAST! Enough power to run my gaming rig with a huge amount of extra power. Running 3 nvidia 280s, 8gig DDR3 RAM, 4 WD VRaptors 15,000 RPM 300gig drives, Blu-ray burner, 2 CD/DVD drives, Intel 9770 @ 3.7ghz, Full Danger Den liquid cooling system (cpu/gpu/nb/sb), 790i evga mobo, 4 cold cathode light tubes.
HOLY CRAP! NO OTHER PSU COULD DO ALL THAT! WITH THE 4 COLD CATHODE LIGHT TUBES!?

I consider it the right forum cuz I'll be using it to run a triple loop WC'ing setup + massive hardware (dual 4870X2's + 8gb DDR3 2000 and a Q9550), and I wanna make sure I have enough power to run it all. My #1 option Im looking at right now is the PC Power And Cooling 1200watt PSU.
*edit* NO WAI?! FOWR CAWLD CAT-HODE's?!

You can go over the top for quite a bit less $$ with the Ultra X3 1600

here's a good review of the X3

I returned a PCP&C 1.2 kW. You better have Bose Quiet Comfort noise canceling headphones. The PSU idles at a very quiet 40 dB. At full tilt, expect 46 dB or 48 dB.
It has the same Delta fan as the PCP&C 1kW-SR (which I like and use) but is massively more noisy.

Yah the PCP&C 500watt I use is louder than all of the fans in my case COMBINED. No fan controller connection either, bloody pos.

Why oh why does America have such low Volts compared to Europe.

do you have any idea how much 2k watts is? that will power the whole house, not just a computer. even with two 4870x2's, you will just barely peak over 1k watts. i don't know why this huge output number attracts you other than enlarging the e-penis. seriously, go for something that's more reasonable, a lot cheaper, and tried and true

Two mediocre 1kW Topower PSU's in one fancy box.

did you also notice in the specs that it only draws 6amps @s110 volts???? and 3A @ 220
so my question is where is the other 1400W of power coming from to make the 2KW ??????
