View Full Version : 14K Everest Read with ADATA 1600X on Rampage Extreme
I started to test some nice Kit of ADATA DDR3 1600X :
# Motherboard : Asus Rampage Extreme Bios 0501
# CPU : Intel Core 2 Duo E8600
# RAM : ADATA DDR3 1600X rev 2.0 (D9GTR)
# VGA : Asus 4870X2
# PSU : Gigabyte Odin 1200w
# Cooling CPU : 2 stages Cascade -105°
NB of RE was cooling by aircooling and volatge was 1.65v. I will do more test later with cold on it.
Vdimm for +2200mhz 7-7-7- is the same for the benchmark @ 2000 7-6-15-15, only 2.1v.

Impressive clock! Great job, mate! Can you pass Win MemTest 3.7 for stability?

No , Dos memtest and 32M under windows.

I was testing my RE earlier with my 1800C7 Dominators and the board just flies! It really is a surprising beast for X48, was sitting around 42ns latencies. Congrats on 38ns

No , Dos memtest and 32M under windows.
Dos memtest is much more weaker than the Windows one.

really? ive seen the opposite a few times...
it really depends, sometimes memtest under dos fails and orthos is stable at the same speed, sometimes its the other way around...
very nice clocks thomas! :toast:

and memtest under windows is a shareware ???

...and one of the better memory stability tests. combined with Prime blend and 01/06 is a really good full stability memory testing. which isn't really the point of this thread so i don't understand why people ask for stability testing

Guys. I`m stable with Memtest86+ at 2,06V. But i need 2,14-2,15V to pass Win Memtest3.7 with no errors.
Lower latency here :

Awesome numbers! 632 on air.. maybe its time I revisted the X48 test systems.
Very impressive numbers!
How much voltage on the NB for 632 PL8?

I get 14.3Mo at 5Ghz...and Everest 4.20. I guess theses versions are really differents.
632 PL8 on 40° is quite good. My own RE can do it with 10 degrees less (under water).

I know I am a bit late with this, but I find that HDI memtest usually finds errors a lot faster, especially when it's a timing or board related issue (such as not enough volts on the northbridge for example).
Where the Windows one usually is not as good is when there is a bad block of memory that is not in the free RAM that HDI memtest is able to hit. However most of the time, a bad block of memory that windows is loaded on will cause crashes and other problems, but not all of the time.
If you are interested in testing overclocks though, windows memtest will save you a lot of time!
