Be very careful installing any new Nvidia nForce Drivers, like the nForce 7 series. I had to reinstall those drivers and upon reboot, my keyboard and mouse locked up. I figured out how to bypass this. If you need help, PM me or post here. Here's some links that helped me.

1. Boot off of a Windows XP CD. Press R to get to the recovery console.

2. Press 1 to log onto Windows. You will need the administrative password to get into to command prompt. If the administrator password was blank press enter.

3. Change directory to the configuration folder to the c:\windows\system32\config folder. Type: cd system32\config

4. Type: rename system system.bad

5. Then type: cd\

6. Type: cd system32\repair

7. Type: copy system c:\windows\system32\config

8. Type EXIT to restart and you should have your mouse and keyboard back. Note that this will wipe out your drivers, so printers, TSRs like antivirus stuff that loads on startup, other peripherals, etc., will need to be re-installed, but everything will still be there.

Once you copy the repaired system file, go ahead and exit and start up in Safe Mode. From there, unistall the Nvidia drivers from the Control Panel by (CHECKING) each driver. Make sure you pick the option that lets you check each driver seperately. Reboot, and then do a clean reinstall of the drivers. Hopefully you have some restore points.
