I'm interested too, do you think 1/2 5/8 koolance can be fitted with 1/2 feser tubes ?

I have a pair of Koolance 1/2" compression fittings as well as their
90 degree compressions, in my experience any 1/2"id x 5/8"od work
fine

Feser tubing is 1/2" x 3/4", so the answer is NO, Koolance 1/2" x 5/8" compression fittings will NOT work with Feser 1/2" tubing...;)

i just ordered 2 bitspower 7/16'' id, 5/8''od compression fittings
first 7/16''compressions ive seen

excited because i just ordered some clear/uv XSPC 7/16'' tubing as well

itll be so nice finally being able to use compressions on 7/16'' and its great that companies are getting more and more 7/16'' friendly

People started using 7/16" on 1/2" fittings to get a good tight seal, and better bends than vanilla 1/2" tubing. It's nice to have 7/16" fittings in the market, but IMHO they're a solution looking for a problem. Personally I think 3/8"-5/8"OD is the sweet spot.

Yep,i so wanted to have these fittings as they look way better than normal barbs but ive had that much hassle with them im going to stick with barbs and wormclips.

That's really bad, I mean they can make their 3/8" x 1/2", 1/2" x 3/4" work first time and every time but they come out with these new 7/16" compression fittings and they don't work.

I guess someone forgot how to measure all of a sudden.

honestly i got rid of compression.

7/16ID tubing with 1/2OD barbs and you really dont need any clamps. Zipties i use to help reinforce the wall, but you really dont require them.

I like koolance. The blackish nickle was always one of my favorate. And you still need to use a wrench to tigthen, and removal is a PITA.

Hey I am lookin but cant see any 1/2" x 3/4" compression fittings.. Where can I get them? Or will the 1/2" x 5/8" fittings work?

EDIT: DUH! Nevermind, I just read post #5..

I'm not a big compression fan myself, I overtighten them on and have a hard time getting them back apart. I believe the Koolance 13mm fittings are designed for the thinner walled 1/2" x 5/8" tubing although I have tested and managed to get 7/16"ID x 5/8"OD to work with some extra effort. I do like the barb design and flat spot on the Koolance fittings better than the others. For me though, I just enjoy 7/16"ID x 5/8"OD tubing on 1/2 Danger Den Fatboy barbs. I think that's the least restrictive and clamps are really optional with that size. I ran pressure drop testing with that combination well over 20psi without any leaks, it's really an ideal combination for leak prevention.

Anyhow, speaking of 7/16"ID x 5/8"OD tubing, anyone notice the new primochill UV goodness?

They just came out with several UV sizes. I've never tried primochill, but virtualrain noted good things about their tubing in the tubing review.

I'm thinking black on my next rebuild...:D
http://www.primochill.com/images/product_images/30686_thumbnail_LRT_Black.jpg

I've done the colors thing, it's time for some black and clear or something different...I'm also tired of the dyes fading, distilled plus PTnuke is serving me well on the testing, so I'm giving up on the dye too.
