I am getting ready to go the H20 route and have read a lot of reviews on CPU waterblocks.
Unfortunately, nearly every review uses an Intel CPU for their tests.
I have yet to find a decent review that gives advice for a good waterblock for a Phenom CPU.
I would greatly appreciate any advice on the best CPU waterblock for my Phenom. (I am seriously considering the Apogee GTX but not sure if it is good for the Quad core.)
I also looked at the GTZ but the site I found it for sale on (Xioxide) said it was only for the Intel 775?
Thanks
BTW, I am knew to AMD and was wondering if I should install the "Dual Core" optimizer driver for my phenom?

The Fuzion V2 and EK Supreme will both fit AM2 sockets with their stock included hardware. The GTZ will fit AM2, but you have to buy the AM2 bracket, which brings the total cost of the block to ~80 bucks shipping not included, so that's not worth it imo. All 3 blocks perform pretty much the same, give or take 1-3C, so you really can't go wrong with any of them.

If it is a single loop get the EK Supreme. Multi loop Fusion v2
And yes, install the optimizer.

what is a dual core optimizer, and the phenom uses 1 die and intel quads use 2, so that means that u want the water to go over the center instead of making a small divide in the center like an intel quad would benefit from

dual core optomizer is just a driver that amd has on their website which is supposed to increase the performance of amd multicore processors.

Is that still relevant with Phenom? I remember doing that with my X2, but I would have imagined there would be no need for it with the Phenoms.

Ek Supreme, best for quads, personal experience, personal opinion. I am not a fanboi. The D-Tek Fuzion V2 will work, but you want a sexy Supreme. Especially with your kind of heat output.

i have seen places that you should still try the optimizer with the phenom but i haven't seen any changes with it installed.

Really it depends on what (if anything) else u intend to have on the loop with the cpu.... If only the CPU then get the EK Supreme, on the other hand if u think you might add a GFX block to the loop then go for the D-Tek Fuzion V2

FUZION v2 will perform well with a Hydor 30 pump?
Water system will be in horizontal structure (no need to push water on vertical distances, so no need for strong pressure).
I am preparing a system for an 9950 and I already have the pump and the radiator.

1 question about the EK for AM2 mobo.
I have M3a79-T.The square metal plate doesn't fit to the 4 holes of my mobo, so I put the rectangular plate that I found at the box.
After that, I had a water leak from the sides of the block.
Any suggestions?
