My PC Runs 24 hours. Its a Q9450 @ 3.7Ghz all under WC. Temps were high 40's under 100% load. Sometimes it would reach low 50s.
When i was using my PC last night, i got a blue screen and when it restarted i got a high CPU temp error. I checked the temp and it said it wad 100c !! So i quicky turned the PC off i checked and the tubes were REALLY hot. I dont know what caused this problem, and i think the only reason would be my Swiftech D5 pump (I think thats what its called) died, cuz when i turned the PC on i didnt hear the usual sucking sound the pump makes. But i just wanted to make sure its the pump, could it have been any other problem?
Im running D5 > 120.3 Rad > EK Supreme > DD Tieon > EK 150 Res > Pump

check molex plug for tightness on the pins connectors

Wait till it cools down a bit, if you turn it back on, when it is cooler, if the computer makes a click-click-click-click-pome (that's exactly what it sounds like), or a sound that sort of sounds like that that, the CPU is overheating and the computer usually turns itself off at this point. The easy check here, is to test the flow rate of the pump, if no water moves, herein lies the problem. Check to make sure that the radiator fans are working as well. Extremely hot temperature problems are easy to find/fix because they are quickly found and problems easily diagnosed. Just check the flow rate, for now, and if the pump still works, then we'll discuss other possibilities, but I have a feeling, that you're right.

I would say it is a plugged block for one. A D5 is a rather hardy pump and cannot seeing it just die for nothing. I would check your EK Supreme block for gunk especially if you used some sort of pre mixed solution or dye. Clean the blocks and try it again. If it still fails then take your pump apart and see if there is an obstruction. If it still fails then buy another pump.

Agreed
You might have combined aluminum by mistake or maybe some mix of coolants and there might be corrosion.

No blockage is going to be so severe as to all of a sudden jump the temp by 50c. Check the molex connector as others have said, and if there seems to be no problem there, i would use a voltmeter to make sure the pump is getting proper voltage. Otherwise, RMA time. And yes, D5 pumps can die also.

Except the other thread had a cpu block made out of ALU, this loop has none.
