Well I am tired of my current router and all of it's odd idiosyncrasies, so I am looking for a new one, what is good? Can handle wireless if needed and wired? Most of my video gaming is wired networking so I don't worry about that too much. If I do use wireless I have a Netgear W311B Wireless N adapter. Thanks!

I’ve used WRT54GS (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833124136) for over four years and it is rock solid. Superb firewall and very hackable (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linksys_WRT54G_series). I recommend it without hesitation.

BTW, you would have got more replies if you had posted in the networking section. :)

Yes, the WRT54GS is nice assuming you can get an older one that can be hacked so you can install a custom firmware on it like DDWRT (I have it on mine), OpenWRT, or Tomato, depending on your preference.

The default firmware is decent, at best.

Dlink DIR-655 is one of the best routers out there.
