Extract your game key, torrent a non-Steam image, crack it. Problem solved.

TAGES will check the server to issue an activation for it. Already at my limit.
I believe even the retail does the same thing. You get 5 activations with no way to revoke licenses. We need more signatures - even if you dont have it, sign the petition we need weight against these a-hole companies pushing DRM. Pirates can play cracked, legit buys can't WTF? - doesn't that seem wrong to you? They arent stopping piracy, they are promoting it!

Thanks for the tip though, just did that with Crysis wars and warhead last week. So much easier than dealing with Steam.

Not for singleplayer. In the retail version, you don't have to put in a key to install, same as the first one. Seeing as you legally own the game, I don't see that doing this would be an issue.

And I entirely agree, it's ludicrous that a game bought through Steam has an activation limit. The entire point of Steam is that you can then play your games on any machine you sign in to.

I will try to do that with Stalker and see if I can play again. been locked out since launch, have been playing it through "other" means. I bought the damn thing so I will play however I have to.
