My psu just started makeing a strange whining noise very quick mabey for half a second but twice during the loading screens of 3dmark06 but not during the tests. I dont have any games instaled and it dosnt happen with vantage or ati tool or furmark. What is that? Is my psu dieing on me?

My first idea would be that the fan is possibly dieing, and when it goes up to high RPM's, it whines. But, that is odd that it only does that during the loading screens of a benchmark.

Yeah I cant figure it out. Its worse with a higher overclock than it is at stock speeds too. I really dont think its the fan either. Its an odd noise. I think a cap might be starting to go, mabey?

Possibly. But if it was, it would be more of a squealing sound.
