Okay, I have Vista 64bit home premium. A couple of days ago I installed a new printer, then after that everything went down hill. I have automatic updates turned off becuase last time I tried to update it kept restarting, I did a system restore and everything worked out fine. But now when I do a system restore its fine until I turn the computer off and then back on again, It wants to go back to installing updates, so I have to do a restore again, I tried deleteing past updates to see if that would help, I even double checked to make sure auto updates were off. I can no longer log onto my comp now becuase there is no more restore points far back enough for me to choose. Any help would be great! I dont mind if I have to do a re-install of windows but if I dont have to that would be great!
