Does anyone happen to know why the medusa demo wont work on my computer? I get this message when i run it and then it closes

"medusa.exe has stopped working" and it closes. The human head demo, along with every other nvidia demo works fine
Sorry for the broad information but i dont see why it keeps doing this and all it says is that it stopped working...Most likly just windows vista screwing up as usual..i really wanted to see this demo having just bought a 9800

im running 64 bit vista ultimate btw

Nothing wrong with Vista 64, I've been running it for a year now with no issues at all. Blame Nvidia, not Microsoft. You've got Nvidia driver issues.

Well i woudlnt say nothing is wrong with vista 64, infact theres too many things wrong with it to list at the moment

Anyway about the driver, i have the latest nvidia driver installed so how could that be the problem? It doesnt really tell me what has gone wrong it just stops functioning and closes. I would take a screenshot but windows doesnt like to copy screenshots half the time and its not pasting what i screenshoted into paint. Dont mind my windows ragging i just think its a frustrating OS becasue nothing ever seems to work

i downloaded a driver from nvidia.com that was not card specific. Realsed sep. 25. I went to restart and windows frooze on the shutdown screen and i had to do a hard shut down to get it to turn off. Anyway, it still says 'medusaLoading.exe has stopped working' and then 'medusa.exe has stopped working' and then closes...uuhhgggg

I would suggest running Driver Cleaner, that is IF you can get into your system. Then go to NVidia's site and get the driver that It suggests for your card/OS combo.

Its not Vista 64's fault. Vista 64 is the OS of choice for most people on this site, and we dont have any problems with it.
