q6600 overclock with ac7?

Got mine arctic cooling freezer 7 pro today and as5 compound, just installed it on my p5e with q6600 and overclocked it to 3ghz using 1.26 vcore, here

just download speed fan and it monitored me play cod4 for abit here are the results i got while playing the game on all maxed out settings

Nope. Those are some horrible temps IMO.

I just installed (last night as a matter of fact) my Q6600, rev G0 BTW, and I'm using the Tuniq Tower 120 with the AS3 and temps at 350x9 are 33c-34c across all 4 cores, highs at around 40c-41c so far.

I consider the Tuniq Tower 120 to be the best HSF for Intel CPUs, I have two and one of them is on my 2nd right with Pentium D 945 idling at 31c (notice that's a Netburst CPU) and highs about 46c, with AS5 as well.

So, I'd suggest getting rid of that crappy push-pin (which is a complete failure to make contact with the CPU) hsf and get a Tuniq, the Tuniq uses a plate and 4 screws which attaches the CPU tightly into the base and CPU.....

I make it so tight, the motherboard itself warps a little, because I fully screw all 4 screws in and in all occasion I have been able to get excellent temps for my OC's while idling and full-load.

i agree with going with a cooler that has a plate and screws. i dont know about screwing it so tight that the mobo warps..those temps arnt good. i have my q6600 at 3.2, 1.26 vcore. idles around 38c, load 55. no AC in the room. im using a cheap air cooler too. Asus V70..its smaller than the trendy crazy huge ones.

with those temps, i think you should remount your fan again. teh freezer pro has gotten pretty good reviews when mounted properly. also use less AS. i did the thin line across the heatspreader method. th pressure of the mounted heatsink speads the stuff well.
