i removed the thermometer on my water fountain unit and the temperatures get extremely cold but the compressor is extremely hot to the touch. can any of the a/c components explode? i have 6x 80mm fans cooling the condenser so the condensor is not hot at all but im just worried about the compressor. thanks!

the heat will kill the compressor in short order
need to have an oil cooler installed ;( if want to run continuous

How hot is too hot for a rotary compressor? I know my Iwaki AC pump runs at least at 50C, and it's been running like this for more than 2 years. But that's an Iwaki and is just an industrial AC motor with a magnet :D
So, does, say 40C sounds reasonable to run a compressor 24/7?

average window is 40 to 65c cooler the better how ever to a point, idealy you want to keep it at 35 to 40c to help prevent oil dilution and such during off cycles
