that board is garbage and overpriced, look at the asus p5q deluxe or the foxconn ELA p45 with digital pwms and 16x16 or 8x8x8 xfire (foxconn being better)

tks for info. i dont have here where to buy foxconn.
what u say on chipset x48? im interesting of crossfire and i dont know
how big deferences make 8*8 to 16*16 speed of pc-x??

they dont have pc-x they have pci-e (pc-x or pci-x are double 64bit pci slots for raid cards), and with this generation its about 15% slower with single gpu rv770 cards and 15-40% with the x2 in xfire
if u cant get the foxconn the p5q deluxe is a great choice

isnt one a base $100 with 4 phase analogue and the ELA is a high end board with 8 phase digital pwms and a corsslink chip
just geet whatever board u can afford but stay away from gigabyte, and dont buy for xfire if ur unsure its not a good upgrade path (unless u get hand me downs)

from what ive seen all gigabyte boards have voltage problems and tend to have more dead ram than others. then that board is like $250. so with that i would say that its garbage or atleast a non recommended, and it dosnt have cross link for $200+

right
so really it's not garbage because that isn't the case
but good to know you just go call out something as garbage on a whim like that

yah garbage is a bit harsh, but when u have a brand that likes to kill ram (even non micron) then u have something wrong (atleast with the ddr2 boards)
i used to rock gigabyte boards but they were nothing but trouble in the end i found asus, then dfi and now foxconn. and personally nothing but digital pwms

fair enough
i think you are however basing your opinion on wrong stats. I don't think Gigabyte kills RAM any higher on average than any other boards
Gigabyte has high voltage options which could be a cause of some ppls deaths but there are a lot of ppl here which also plainly just don't know what they are doing when changing RAM or benching RAM and then blame boards and there are a few examples of ppl that just hate the brands and use every post as the opportunity to hammer it
not all is rosy on these board like most P45 chipset but i wouldn't just jump off the blocks and call them much worse than others. I did manage to kill my best PC10000 kit on it though which i feel terrible about as i've benched in some many boards with ultrahigh volts until finally one stick gave way in the end. i don't know if it;s the board or the stick finally going to heaven after a 1.5yr long extreme benching career :D. But i can't just blame the last board it died on as those sticks lived ONLY between 2.4v and 2.8v for most of it's life.....so was it high voltage or the board i donno
I haven't tested many P45 boards aside from Biostar and GB. Biostar was really really good for me for superpi benching but a POS for anything else (cough 3D) lol. Gigabyte has been pretty good for most testing but i have a 600MHz FSB wall on my DDR3 board and around 620/630 on the DDR2 board...now not many ppl will need to bench their CPUs at 6.3GHz or more so wanting such high FSB makes no sense unless you are ready for LN2 benching

Even tho I would probably choose another board, I dont think gigabyte is garbage, burns memory or whatever. At least nothing indicated to me that it has more problems than other similar boards. I'd likely go for another brand for price/performance reasons and details, nothing that makes an huge difference
Digital PWM's are not necessarily better. Some of them run very very hot, and many of the greatest clocks around come from analog ones.
If you really intend to use crossfire, I suggest getting an x48/x38 board for the extra lanes if you can afford. Otherwise p45 is the way to go.
