Just saw this - Lian Li A05N (http://lian-li.com/v2/en/product/product06.php?pr_index=289&cl_index=1&sc_index=25&ss_index=63), looks like a A05 with upgraded internals.
I think im gona get one, always loved the A05 :D

Looks like it has been pulled. The image links are broken and its not listed under the mini tower chassis section.

Ah good call, the other pages still work. On the Specifications page the model number is PC-A05F
I'm not a huge fan of the "reverse" airflow design. I love their HD cages though. Have you used the A05 for any builds? I'm curious to know if the front vents are enough for proper ventliation. Doesn't seem like it would be much of an issue with a low voltage cpu/video card. Its definitely a contender in my book for a HTPC.

Nop, but since its allmost imossible to get a Twice7 to Denmark without paying 120-360$ shipping i think im just gona run with a A05N/F when it's in stock somewere, ill let you know how it goes, but i think the front vents are pretty good, thats what i read at Hardforum's about the A05.

Vented PCI brackets
Replaced rivets that hold the top cover with screws
New mounting hardware for 5.25 Bay Drive
Those are the only differences I see thus far. They dropped the ball imo and should've added in a vented top 125 blowhole or 2. Also the first page of the link will work if you press refresh.

I prefer the old drive cage, anyone with an A05 will know that space is at a premium in these puppies and the old drive cage gave plenty of option for attaching cable ties.
Not sure that they need a couple of blow-holes standard, you can always do that at your own discretion, the front vents have been more than enough for me.
E8400@4GHz under a big Typhoon with 3 hdds and an 8800GT is more than fine temp wise in mine, admittedly I have replaced the fans with stronger ones but that's just me, was running just as fine (albeit a tad hotter) with a couple of Yate Loons.
Nice little cases though..

To each his own this thing is a heat trap in a box which is why alot of modders add 120.2 blowholes up top which is what I did on mine. Lian Li has a pretty nice 120x2 blowhole stock top cover which is probably the nicest stock one around, and looks cleaner than any dremel/jigsaw hackjob any day. But if you got a watercooling radgrillz to cover it up it doesn't matter.
I got it setup now as an HTCP I love the case.

A stock top that fits A05?

This case is actually really decent for airflow...I ducted the PSU, and set both case fans as intakes. The PSU was an exhaust, and the rest of the air went out through the vents in the upper chamber where I'd removed PCI brackets. I wish the drive cage had been mounted with screws. I removed mine then suspended the hard drives.

No they got this stock cover with 2x120mm blowhole and could've easily made it standard for the A05 revision. I can't find it but someone posted it in the Case forums.

This 'enough airflow' is really all too subjective depending on the hardware and climate people have and live in. There's a big thread on hardocp forums for the A05B and lots of people would disagree with you.

Well, they all probably keep the drive cage installed, which impedes a lot of that front fans airflow. I was able to run my X2 at 2.5ghz and my HD3870 fanless in my system. All the while the PSU was a fanless 400W Zen.

I don't see any differences. I did like my A05, but airflow was just not that good. Like my P180 mini much better.

The Li A05 makes the best HTPC case in the world IMHO but its just way overpriced :(

Why would you say that? It's huge for an HTPC case, and it would stand out like a sore thumb in an entertainment system.

Black does not stand out, I have a Silverstone Tj08 (http://www.silverstonetek.com/products/p_contents.php?pno=tj08&area=) that fits standing in my AV/TV unit that looks fine :)

If you can't hide your htpc behind your tv then you need a bigger tv! :D

for an HTPC, I'd rather have a small system upfront that looks like another set-top box, using a slim silverstone case. Then I would have access to the dvd drive, USB ports and the case in general if something went wrong. I know you could just use an external DVD/USB hub, but it adds to clutter. I guess that's just my opinion though, I'd rather an HTPC look clean and fit in with the rest, but not look like a typical PC.

Hehehhe thats certainly true :D
Actually if set up properly a usb hub and external drive would look quite good IMHO
