Left 4 Dead demo, soon

Few days old news but I have´nt seen this there yet.

Fear not, 1% of the world that isn't convinced fighting hordes of zombies with three gun-toting friends is totally awesome. Valve managing director Gabe Newell has confirmed with VideoGamer that a Left 4 Dead demo is coming. The demo, for both Xbox 360 and PC, will include single-player and online co-op options to try out. Said Newell, "I don't know what the date is for release on that, though. I think it's going to contain the first part of one of the campaigns. I think it'll probably be [the] Hospital [level] but I'm not sure." We've contacted Valve hoping for more information. Left 4 Dead is coming for you November 18.

This is only a confirmation that there will be a demo, and that's nothing surprising. I would in fact be surprised if Valve didn't make a free L4D weekend some time before Christmas.

No problem, with Valve games they are 60-70% CPU dependent.

It's a Source engine game, you can play it on a three year old machine and max it out..

Zombie Survival is what we all play these days. NoxiousNet server allows up to 46 people at once... I want a server with 128 people :D

it would be very cool if they had the whole campaign mode online... with all the zombies being played by us instead of ai... you could finish the game and then spend the rest of the time trying to stop other people from doing the same....

now that would be good.....;)

i can imagine playing it with my m8's and saying ''wait for em to come around this corner... then jump on em, that'll shlt em up''.... hours of fun watching their charachters guns flail around as there mouse flies across the living room....:)

I meant the one for Gmod. Current version 2.0 is pretty fun and watching someone run from 45 zombies is hilarious.

Imagine the chaos with 46 people ;) And in the recent versions you can build barricades using "nails" on props... and stuff. Needs more guns though and the headcrabs suck because their models are not clipped properly meaning you can jump over them easily and its impossible to crawl over/though/around etc obsticals...

Well, my body is running basically on dreams right now, dreams of having money. Even 10$ are a nogo atm.

Plus there are many other must-buys upcoming (AC/DC's Black Ice and CoD5 for instance).

It's only $10 but you NEED Half Life 2 and CS:S to enjoy Zombie Survival or most other mods for GMOD.

I played ZS quite a bit a while ago. Probably the most fun mod I have ever played, after TD-stuff in W3. Just epic. :clap:

i loved playing zombie panic. fun as hell, same concept, except no storyline. the zombies would be slow but you can scare the living chit out of people as you break through a boarded up wall.
its exceptionally funny when you hear them yell through the mic :D

I got a chance to test it out at PAX on an Xbox 360. The game looks really good graphically, the animation looked good, there were definitely "oh sh*t" moments, even though it was a really short multiplayer demo. I didn't talk to a rep but it looked like we were doing a 4 person co-op multiplayer. Anyways, I wasn't really looking forward for this game (not a big zombie fan) but the demo impressed me so much I really can't wait to play it on my comp.

Turtle Rock kinda stinks at making CS:S maps IMO, but I have a high hopes for this game. From the demos shown off it just looks fantastic. I heard the guys who made CS originally are working on it too.
