This is what I currently have I think:
http://www.enermax.com.tw/eg651p-ve-fma.htm

This is what I'm looking at:
http://www.pcpowerandcooling.com/products/power_supplies/highperformance/turbocools/index_510-atx-pfc.htm

Would the PCP&C be much better at all? And does anyone know if this Enermax has adjustable pots inside? I haven't opened it up yet and can't find it anywhere in the specs...

I have yet to see an enermax with adjustable pots.

My Antec 400 generic is kicking my Enermax 430 whispers ass, btw....

And you can modify your PSU so you have pots by checking the ATX header for small cables doubled up along with a large cable. Might be one for 3.3, one for 5, and one for 12 each, or just one for 3.3 and 5 each, or... yeah.. 8-)

Pc power and cooling 510 atx is pretty much the best you can buy. Plus if you call them they can modify it to handle higher loads, put out more volts etc.

Theres a review of this PSU posted on the XtremeSystems front page here (http://www.xtremesystems.org/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=article&sid=140&mode=thread&order=0&thold=0).

Heh, well I know PCP&P is better, that's a given. What I'm wondering is if it's worth it to go from that Enermax to that PCP&P... That's a lot of money to put out for a PSU and I don't want to do it unless it's really gonna make a difference.

in the long run i would say go for it. strong power supplies stick with you. I plan on getting one to replace my modded TP 550 which I am very pleased with. Its all a matter of whether or not you have the money.

I can tell you this, my Enermax 550W was garbage, terrible rails etc, I sold it years ago. I have had a 450W PCP&C for about 2 years now, the thing is just unstopable. I have 15 fans, 2 cold cathodes, 4 HD's, 2 CD Drives, a funky VDIMM mod and my P4 running OC'd with nary a hiccup. The PCP&C would be a PSU that would last many, many years and a very good investment IMO.

Why spend so much money on an ATX psu when BTX is coming soon?

Supposedly ATX psu's are compatible with BTX, but I would rather wait and see what comes up.
