sweet, this looks like it specifically addresses problems with using mem dividers that the ic7/max series have been having. Anybody test this and see if its true?

The bios is more stable and 5:4 and 3:2 finally works great. I was able to do 300fsb @ 3:2 ratio 100% stable.
Also the vcore seems to jump a bit more then before if I set 1.7vore winbond reports 1.63:rolleyes:

yes it works on the max3. go here --> http://fae.abit.com.tw/download/beta/ic7-max3/

this board just got better. just enough to make it back out of the box. it had been sitting in the corner for a bit. bout time they addressed the memory divider issue.

Sorry to say this, but some people have still got problems with the dividers, even after applying the new bios. :(

That link directly above my post is for the Max3 which bios update only goes to 1.3. The 1.8 he is talking about is for the IC7-G. Will that be compatible with the Max3? I haven't updated bios yet, or anything, but if and when I do update from factory will I get better performance b/c I'm stuck at 295FSB(3:2) right now.

Phil, it'll help a bit if you mention your setup.

I don't own a Max3 anymore, I was just going on what others had said about the new bios - I've got an Asus P4C800-E now, or rather two of them :) and 2 2.4's - both capable of 3.4 on air :)
