I think we were all IP blocked, but that it was only meant to be temporary while a select few used the bandwidth to have a video conference on the merits of bringing back SF. From what I hear, it started out civilly but quickly went down hill. Next thing you know people are pulling out light sabers and whatnot. Somebody hit the main server with a portal gun and sent it across town. A shock gun took out the back up. And then somebody just had to bring along a suitcase nuke - there's always one.

So you can belief the "official" story about database migrations and such, but that's not how it went down. :cool:
