I need to unlock the 13x multiplier and above on my XP2500+
I remember a thread here on XS showing that this could be done with a wire trick.
Anyone know how?

YEah, that wire trick is from that .de site. Basically you set it to socket, and say 13X and put in your mhz speed etc.. I did it and it works great :)

I have seen that page but I remember that I could connect two pins and get all 13x and up options in the bios to choose.

I did this to my barton 3200 (also 11X multi)
What you need to do is cut the fith and third L3 bridges, this unlocked mine from 7-17X multi.
I cut the bridges by pushing a scalpel into the bridge, a very scary thing to do on an Xp-3200 :D

Like you said, it's a scary thing to do this on a good CPU.
I am 99% sure that it can be done by just connecting two pins using a wire.
The OCInside.de way is just a big pain in the ass, that every time I want to change the multiplier I would have to remove my Prometeia cooling, fix the wires and then install the Prometeia again.
