First off new to phase, so please forgive me for my ignorance.

I'm looking at getting the Rampage Extreme to run with phase, but have a bit of an issue with chip placement on the back of the board/socket area. As per pic.

The dew point here in Thailand is I'm lead to believe around 23c. I know from experience without the heaters on I have a major issue with condensation.

The chip on the back of the board obviously get's in the way of the heater pad. I'm wondering could I apply a square layer of foam with a hole in it(Chip size) to the back of the MB and then apply the standard vapochill mounting plate/foam/heaterpad on top of this. Would the rear heater still serve it's purpose with a layer of foam between it and the MB? Am I likely to crush that chip on the back when I tighten up the gasket to the MB?

Cheers ahead for any advice.

Just stick 2 layers of 1/8" insulation on the backside of that board and do-away with the heater pad. I personally use a 5" by 5" square of insulation on the backside of my boards and it works like a charm.

It's the tropics here and very humid, so not quite sure if that will work or not. Will bare it in mind though. Thanks:).

So long as you push out all the air. And the seal is air tight. Nothing can get in there to condense. Just take your time and do it right and you'll be fine
