ok, so i've tuned my CO2 cascade to hold load and it ended up on 325psi static charge .... its a bit scary, so i release some of the refri till about 250psi. now i need an expansion tank and so i buy a brand new receiver here is the Details and pics :

1.now, where do i need to connect the captube? inlet or outlet? i have problem with this receiver, the inlet nut wont open, its very hard. could i just use the outlet port?
2.does the receiver enough for my charge?
3.whats best to use, captube or some 1/4 pipe? how long do i need?
4.damn i really want R1150 :shakes:

so far the casacade doing very good to handle load... on 5.4ghz with 1.78v on E8400 (VID 1.2125) on superpi 32m it holds -65c to -66c :D

Hello ,

I use about 5lt for my cascade . I don't know if 1lt is enough...

Use a capillary tube (about 50cm is enough) , because with a bigger diameter you'l have high pressures when you start the 2nd stage .
Finally , there is no difference if you use inlet or outlet .

Plus if it has a rotolock your in luck, no need for a low side service valve if you don't want!

Ya thats why I said it, but sometimes when you get one it'll just have the screw, if he's lucky it'll come with the rotolock

@stelios: hey thanks for answering, well currently 1lt is enogh for me, static charge decrease about 100 - 125psi. im using 2mtr of 0.031" to the exp tank, does it too long??
@NoL: yes it has rotolock but just the screw...

You might want to also price out accumulators. They'll probably end up cheaper per volume given the lower working pressures. Connect an expansion tank at the bottom so oil can return.

I'd use 1 meter.
And yes, a big expansion tank is probably better. Can get em on USA ebay for $10 or so, nice big 2-3L

damn, thats very cheap... i bought this arround $35 on local shop. it has 2.5lt for about $10 more.
hey, does it matter if i just stick with 2m of captube? whats the deal with it? thx :)

Slow drain and pull down, but overall no problem.
