this ram is an absoloute beast, here is the link (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145175) directly from my newegg invoice showing what i got.

stock timings are 5-5-5-18-2t @ 800MHZ, ill let my pic do the talking:

Taken from Nvidia Control panel.
http://www.phase-changin.com/shoottothrill-images/ram1.jpg
http://www.phase-changin.com/shoottothrill-images/ram2.jpg

i could not be happier with this ram, got timings down to 4-4-4-12-2t (havent tried 1t.... yet :D) these settings are used everyday all day for gaming, photoshop, and any thing else i throw at it, and for how cheap it is i definetally would point anyone in its direction who is looking to purchase memory for their system.

oops, ya that screen defintally is NOT showing me running at 4-4-4-12, been fiddling w/ ntune's custom rules and had the wrong rule applied >.< fixed the image though :D

wow corsair must have accidentally used some d9's in its pc2-6400.
Nice oc.

Could u plz post a CPU-Z screen shot, it much easier to read (well it is for me). Thats some great results, i'v run at (555MHz) 1111MHz @ 4-3-2-1 W/ 2.4v

I forgot to screen shot, so i'm expecting that no one will believe me, but just wait...

Yeah i'm going to try 1200MHz 4-4-4-4 :p:
Did that, my Team's needed 2.7V for 600MHz 4-4-4-4, with additional air cooling of course.

Nah their my only sticks and to make sure they don't burn out I don't use any more then 2.4v and I use a Delta 220CFM to cool them.

Anyway I have plenty of money to replace them.

vab206
08-27-2008, 07:55 PM
im suprised at how cool my sticks stay, im guessing it has something to do with the DHX or maybe thats just a marketing gimmik, but after an hour or so of CoD4 i can reach down and touch my memory's heatsink and it only feels warm to the touch.

it wont matter lol my ram never got above 26c n got degraded
ive lost 6 sets on gigabut boards @ 2.24 so ...

How did u know that they never got above 26C, they don't have temp sensors?

BTW thats some bad luck.

Nice result for that ram, but lol @ nvidia control panel screenie, that's really hard to decipher. Use cpuz memory screen and memset, as it is so much easier to understand.

Are those rev. 1.x? If so, then they are D9 and it doesn't come as a surprise.

here ya go, little bit of all 3, dont know why cpu-z and memset dont show my dram speeds tho :-/

o wow, guess nvdia control panel is off....

and the voltage is what ASUS PcProbe 2 reads, just pasted off my desktop

Something is not right there, CAS 4 at DDR 1190 @ 1.90v? I highly doubt it. That's too low a voltage, you should be around 2.0 - 2.2v for CAS 5 1190. Have you ever measured your vdimm with a multimeter? Either Asus probe is wrong or cpu-z is reading the ram speed wrong.

Even 1.90v for CAS 4 @ DDR 1084 (542 x 2) is a low voltage. CAS 4 ~DDR 1100 should take almost 2.3v to get.

vab206
08-29-2008, 09:19 PM
i have the vdimm set to 2.0 - 2.1v in my bios... more then likely its reading the voltage wrong, ive been wondering the same myself and set and watched it while downloading all patches 1.1 - 1.6 for CoD4 and it never fluctuated once not even .01v, so im guessing its wrong.

fatguy1992
08-29-2008, 10:05 PM
It took my 2.3v to run at 555MHz @ 4-4-4-4 on my dominators.

So yeah it must be wrong.

mad_skills
08-30-2008, 05:09 AM
That's not right, nearly 600MHz CL4 is not possible on 1.9V. Something is definitely not right.

zsamz_
08-30-2008, 06:57 AM
pure bull cas4 1.9v 1200mhz
the best kit i've see can do cas5 1200 1.98v and not even stable @ 1.97v:rofl:

vab206
08-30-2008, 09:56 PM
well, my bois is also reporting 1.91v, but i hear asus crosshair boards are bad for vdimm voltage, ive read peoples being .1-.2 off, its set to run at 2.0 - 2.1v vdimm

try CPU ID HW Monitor and see if that gives you a different voltage.

new validation,

http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=411297

stable on superPi 1M, idk what the problem with this board's vdimm is, i can set it to any number (up to 2.7v in 0.025v increments) and every program, bios, still reads 1.90v

Made some video's showing ram speeds, couldnt fit it all on youtube due to length so i had to split it up,

See Here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YYf_88cF8yE&fmt=18)

and Here (this is the one showing my boards vdimm problem) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mq7RkRhA9rw&fmt=18)

sorry for the low quality lighting, had to film it on my digital camera :p

only thing i can find that comes close to being a rev # is where it says "1.80v v2.3" 1.80v obviously being the rated voltage so im guessing their revision 2.3's

18 is # 1

You do seem to have a hardware vs software issue with your voltage monitoring. Do you have access to a multimeter to measure Vdimm manually? Either way it appears to be a great set of memory and especially good clocks for Quimonda ICs.

vab206
09-05-2008, 11:31 PM
the more i tinker with these sticks it seems that they like it more and more, 4-4-4-12-1T (yes 1t) passed validation, superpi and everest benches. ill do a memtest on em tomorrow :D

Okey, something is really weird or you got the best memorys in the world :P

Standard Memory speed (800MHz CL5) = 6.25/11.25ns (time to first bit/time to fifth bit)

Your configuration (1144MHzCAS4) = 3.4965/6.993ns (time to first bit/time to fifth bit)

Your overclocking results give you nearly 200% performance of 800MHz CAS5.

CryptiK
09-06-2008, 06:42 AM
lol not even close, I have seen PC5300 (266 MHz) sticks clock over 700 MHz. However if he really is at 572 MHz CAS 4 on Quimonda IC based ram, it is quite strange to say the least. Quimonda are renowned for their atrociously terrible IC's.

tweaked with my timings a bit last night and thats about the max this ram can go, anything over HTT wise or timing wise (i was able to tighten them very slightly) and im unstable, but im pretty well FSB maxxed on my proccessor so it works out :D

sadly to say?? these are not qimonda. they're elpida " http://ramlist.i4memory.com/ddr2/ " what makes me happy is that i'm now going to do extensive tests on my elpida pc2-8500 and quite possibly get similar results.

No, that list says they are ProMos, and so does the corsair support forum.

I think whoever said they are Quimonda thought the OP had 2 x 2GB sticks but he actualy has the 2 x 1GB sticks, and the v2.x are ProMos.

Regardless, for ProMos that's still impressive clocks.

i think there is a bug somewhere with that board

those timings are too tight for the ICs you are using......and volts you are running

from what i've seen and tested it's really only micron ICs that can do those sorts of clocks ....with supernice microns you could probably take screens at over 2v with such speed and timings but i don't think any other IC has every shown anything even remotely close to that............you aren't really stressing them so it's hard to gage where you're stable at for superpi for example.....can you please report at what speed you can run 32M SuperPi

i'm leaning to board weirdness of some kind...possibly not running at timings specified or reporting clocks wrong or something of the kind

CAS5 no issues but not CAS4-4-4-x

unless AMD has some new miracle IMCs or something

have you got an intel rig to test these on........or your friend or someone
if you get the same results on P35/P45/X38/X48 I definitely want to know what ICs they really are :D:D

thats sick if its true but all that and at 1T to boot thats hard to believe, the best 667/800 sticks i ever had only did 1150's at 2.0v 5-5-5-15 2t and they were all micron

I have a kit of the 1066MHz Dominator's, they overclocked great for me :), not a WR. I'm to scared to take the volts above 2.4v.
