I'm curious because I just bought four 172mm Comair Rotron Patriot-DC fans on ebay for $10 USD (seemed too good to pass up). They will hopefully be here later this week or next week sometime. I couldn't find their exact part number on Comair Rotron's website, but I think they're 48V fans. I was curious if anyone else has ever used them, and if they'll start at 12V. How about 24V?

If it's really at 48V, I think it won't work at 12, but at 24 it'll probably run.

if thats the same comair rotron that greenweld.co.uk used to sell then they will work at 12v and pretty quietly as well.

I'm sure they'll run slowly on 12 and more than likely have to be push started.

I have a 48v psu and 48v rotron fans to go with it. Most do work at 12v.

KE, I'd be interested to see if it works off a regular psu 12v for a long amount of time cause I only used a regalur psu to test the fans.

Check the model number through google.. worked for the other comair fans I had.

Just hook them up to a 12v psu and if they start turning you are good to go.
