Its a bit of an easier, kiddier rpg, but definitely fun!

I just finished the game ...
This is what my character looks like before the last level. I went the cybernetic way. It also possible to remain all human or a mix of both.I haven't tried that though.

I play the game in 1920 x 1200 resolution and it runs and looks great. It also runs great in that resolution with a single Radeon HD4870.
It's easy to complete the given tasks and it's easy to navigate around in the world.
I would have preferred a more freely adjustable camera instead of the fixed angle one. Sure you can rotate around and zoom in and out on your character but you can't change the viewing angle.
There is only one place in the game where that happens and that's when crossing a long bridge, where you get behind your character and are able to see across the bridge and it actually looks very good.
In my opinion the game gets a little repetitive in a lot of areas and the storyline is very bad and incomplete. Especially when you have finished the game, then there is a lot of unanswered questions.
But those things apart it's fun to play and you always want to see what that next cybernetic part brings into the game. In that area it's very addictive.
I really like what they have done with the physics in this engine, it's fun to shoot exploding barrels and watch how the interact with other non explosive things. It's a bit like the first physX tech demo.
I haven't tried playing the multiplayer part so I don't know how that is.
I got the game through steam.

that game was horrid imo. Couldnt play for over 1h. Sins of the solar empire was a great game though, you'll enjoy it!

really? maybe it was the crappy torrent I downloaded sins of a solar empire with, but i found that game seriously lacked depth! It was probably just the torrent version, but there was no campaign and no story line, just random map rts gameply, which was cool for a few hours, but got pretty boring and shallow. IMO it failed to preserve detail in its "large scale"

That's all Sins of a solar Empire is ;) Huge random RTS with no story. I thought it sucked

I never played it in single player. Only with a few friends over lan and it was just great.
