Try uninstall GPU drivers, use driver cleaner in safe mode. Re install the GPU drivers. Ensure Direct X is up to date too and you are using 1.1 patch.

foR: do you have the 32 or 64 bit vista?

Mine's been crashing on x64 vista too, which I just switched to from x86 XP. I didn't have any problems in XP. What error message are you getting exactly?

Someone said somewhere that disabling Aero might fix it, so I'll be trying that. We'll see how it goes.

GRID is working fine for me, 1.2 patch, Vista 64, aero enabled. I can't help but think it's probably driver related or overclocked hardware isn't stable.

Aero disabling didn't help =P.

And it still does it with no OC, so I'm guessing it's ATi's vista 64 drivers being stupid. Ah well.

No it's not. Works perfect here .. tested with cat 8.6/8.7 and 8.8 on single radeon HD4870, and 2 radeon HD4870 in crossfire and on my current radeon HD4870X2.

The only real issue I have experienced with GRID is when selecting 8xMSAA then it sometimes behave like it's stalling or choking for a second or so and then runs fine again. But changing it to 4xMSAA resolves that issue. I play in 1920x1200 all settings at max except for the AA and it runs smooth as silk.It also runs smooth in that resolution on a single Radeon HD4870.

Can't be ATI's Vista driver, I'm using them with no problems as stated above. ATI 4870x2, 8.8 beta driver.

Even with a 4870x2, 8xMSAA causes the menus to run a little choppy sometimes. I think the menus are coded poorly. However, the game runs at 60fps at all times with V-sync enabled using 8xMSAA with the 4870x2 at 1920x1200.

Might be with Nvidia's drivers, but ATI's drivers are fine with this game.
