Hey guys, getting the pc tomorrow. I'm wondering what timings should I run if I'm going to run 3:2 ratio on a 2.4c on the IC7-Max3. I'm using Black Mushkin 3500 Lvl 2 memory. I'm shooting for a 290-300FSB (CPU). Recommendations would be appreciated as well as what voltages I should run the memory and cpu at.

Why not try it at 5:4?

at 3:2 and 300fsb your ram is only at 200mhz, which isn't even it's rated speed.

better stick with asus p4c800-e if not to late

and use 5:4 ratio

with relaxed timings and some juice ur ram should handle this i think (i dont know mushkin performance :) )

good timings arent that important at all using canterwood

better aim for some more mhz

and using 5:4 ratio on ic7 max3 u might run into some serious trouble

so better really stick with asus if this option is still left and u didnt buy that stuff allready

Haven't tried the Muskin, but Anand liked it:

It would appear it's good ol' BH5, so 2/2/2/6 should be done easily with 2.55v at DDR400 (which is what 300 FSB 3:2 would be).

Have fun!

I know that the Max3 has the problem with 5:4 ratio, which could possibly be a bios issue. Which I mean lets give it some credit it has not been out that long to get all the problems out. Thats why I said I'm going to run 3:2. If my cpu will allow me to go higher than 300 with 3:2 then by all means I'll push it to the max, but I doubt it will. For some reason with the same CPU, on a 8KNXP Gigabyte and 3500 Kingston HyperX I maxed out at 270FSB which I'm guessing 1:1 ratio. To be honest I didn't know crap back then so I could of just not had the right setup lol. I was ignorantly overclocking, so could be the explanation to why it sucked. Dunno.....

(On that above setup I mentioned, I didn't tell you, but I was getting a memory dump like every 2 mins (the big blue screen of death dump).
