Get a raid controller and 4 Western Digital Raptor Veloci after that get like 8 Samsung F1 1TB.
For the speakers get Creative S750 since you want the most extreme.
Fore the monitor get 2x Dell 30" or 2 Apple 30".
Btw get a Blu-Ray burner ;)
For the case, im not pretty sure where all this will fit? :d
If you win the lottery and pay for a similar system for me, then I'll advise you :)
Seriously (if you are serious) what do you use your computer for, what do you want out of it?

You won't be able to use more than one of those cards with that board.

If you go Q9650 + Rampage Formula + 8GB Ram + 2 1TB Drives in Raid 0 + 1xSilverstone 1200W + 2x HD 4870X2
you're talking about a system that can be squeezed well within $5,000 and not that hard to attain at all.

Will the board handle 8 Gigs of 2000 DDR3 ? If I remember corectly i saw a review somewhere that DDR3 2000 modules can be only handled by 2 slots , 4 if you use -1600 , 2 if you have 1800+

For good price/performance and massive overclocking I would go with a Biostar TPower i45 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138118) and 8400. For a cost be damned I would get a different (EATX) case and go for an Intel Skulltrail (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813121330&Tpk=skulltrail) with dual QX9775.

Yup, about $3,600 just for the processors and motherboard, lol. Around $4100 with 8GB RAM ($4,800 with 16GB!). Too rich for my blood, I would love to have that much money and time. Maybe I'll win the lottery someday, lol.

Her name is Scarlet. She's gonna be a semi-super computer, good for gaming, i have almost a TB of tv downloaded, and i'd like to expand that... maybe a usb tv-tuner is in order. I'm thinkin also a media server for my PS3 and laptop, hence i will also need to be able to convert files.

RAID's a really good idea, but at the same time, im also workin on a design for a small dedicated server to hold back ups of all my media files... why have hot-swappable redundant HDDs when i can have redundant Systems.

Well damn DFI for having me wait for inferior technology [that i can't afford anyway] i figured it was too good to be true... i can always revert to the EVGA 790i. The Skulltrail is reserved for Codename: Big Fat Jess, the server.

Nah, some are just crazy, I would bought that but now I'm waiting for nehalem, I usually upgrade my PC every 2 ~ 3 Months, so if he's one of the members of category "crazy" I belive him :D
If you want tri-SLI eVGA just came out with a 790i FTW edition, a non-reference design that will probably perform similarly to the Striker II Extreme for $200 less.
I fail to see the point of these machines. There's no reason to get something this expensive when something that costs half as much will perform just as well. If it's a benching rig I could understand but if it was really a benching rig you wouldn't be buying a case and there would have been something about extreme cooling in the OP.
