I have a 4870x2 and I can only enable one screen. Sadly, I believe that Crossfire or SLi are multi-display limited.

On a lighter note, I believe EVGA released a USB display adapter. That might work...

are you using a dual link dvi cable to the box?

Like Xcel is asking, har you using a Dual Link Dvi cable, in these big resolutions you need these kinds of cables i think.

I've read that only Nvidea cards can the higher resolution on this device (maybe it was the older one?) would like one, but am on ATI just now (HD4870) and also using a 24" LCD, if it would work I'd happily buy 2 more 24" LCD's.

I'm thinking of a 30" LCD and using a Track IR Pro for my Flight Simulation.

ATi crossfire has never played nice with the TH2G..

as for the res's ur running.. u've mentioned that u d/l'd latest firmware, what about drivers?

also, what refresh rate are u trying to run at? 3x 1680x1050, doesnt instantly mean it'll do it @ ur LCDs max refresh ;)

& like a few posters have mentioned - make sure all ur cables are dual-DVI

Hi thanks for the replies I called matrox in the UK and he confirmed that there is a problem with the ATI cards with the horizontal resolution, and no ATI card can reach 5040. However the 8 series and newer nVidia cards can.

**yes i am using the dual dvi lead that came with the matrox, the other thing is i can now reach 4320 x 900 which you need the latest firmware and dl-dvi lead for but not 5040 x 1050.

get "SoftTH"

just toss in a cheap second display card and you'll be good.
