System specs as follow:
Rampage Formula X48 board
2x2gig mushkin ram
2x 500gig seagate hdd
GTX280 EVGA FTW edition
QX6700
1000w silent power Zalman PSU

So, ive had huge problems booting this computer.. I can't get anything on the screen.. so i've narrowed my rig down just to get something on the screen
to the motherboard, 1 stick of 1 gig 800mhz patriot ram, no hard drives, and the crappiest GPU i own.. 8800GTX and nothing else plugged in but still no boot.

.. Though I have a weird idea, and before I go out and buy a new a processor(most likely an E8600) the QX6700 is only 1066mhz, and the motherboard is 1333mhz/1600mhz.. Not 1066mhz.

I think (but not sure) that you answered your own question in the last sentence.

I have the Rampage Formula. It booted fine with a 1066MHz rated FSB. It might be the RAM or it could just be a faulty board...

all 1066MHz CPU's will work in this board. It could well possibly be a faulty stick of ram.

I take it you've cleared the CMOS on the board and tried again ?

CMOS ERROR.. I've tried clearing the CMOS, the RAM is full tested and most definitely isn't faulty.
I think the board might be faulty.
