in games only what special in PC over xbox !

I visited my friend house yesterday , and we games in his xbox 360 with 42 LCD TV , and i was very impressed about the IQ and how smooth that the games run , also he have almost all the PC games on his xbox Except crysis

So. if the games only i consern , what is special in PC over xbox 360 . specially there are news that crysis game will Developed for xbox also the new xbox 360 will support DX10 and Blu-ray games ?

this list will get long fast. i'll throw some reasons out off the top of my head:

1. no monthly fee for online gaming
2. you can upgrade any part of your computer at any time if new, more demanding games come out
3. mouse and keyboard
4. potential for higher image quality, higher resolution and more frames per second
5. access to private servers for online games
6. don't have to listen to 10 year old kids screaming on X-Box Live
7. custom configs and game tweaks
8. free content (Call of Duty 4 extra maps cost money on X-Box and were free on PC's because they don't control the internet and couldn't stop us from sharing the maps if they tried to charge)
9. Bill Gates can't ban your internet access if you do something he doesn't like
10. most people own computers anyway. you might as well have a computer that can play games
11. PC's are superior for RPG, RTS, simulation, and FPS games because of the controls and superior hardware. with a USB gamepad and a decent video card, PC's are just as good as 360's for arcade-style games.



one big advantage to a console is that you can do multiplayer games on one TV when you have friends over (Fight Night 3 on the X-Box is tons of fun). it's also nice to sit on the couch when you game.

i personally am a big fan of the keyboard/mouse setup. But.. i mean if you just wanna go with games only i would say support. Xbox and such has patches but not like PCs do. The companies are constantly working PC games for the maximum performance and fun for all the players fixing glitches and what not alot more than you see on the xbox.

But in reality.. its all personal preference. If you would rather hook up an xbox to a big screen TV and run a controller on ur console sure go ahead. I just happen to like my variables with my PC. Some prefer PC, some prefer the consoles. Let yourself decide what you would rather have. Whats more comfortable and more fun for you.

I think both types of gaming have advantages over the other. The biggest thing I like about console gaming is that the games are optimized to run on their respective consoles. You don't have to worry about whether or not your system can handle it. Just buy a game and it will work perfectly. But on the other hand, mods are far easier to implement on PC. A person could probably write pages on the subject of consoles vs. PC's, but in the end, I think it all comes down to personal preference.

that is exactly what im thinking , no more Headache about CPU OC or what is the best GPU and memory and so on ....

sure the PC is more powerfull than xbox , but xbox games are optimized to run well on xbox
also never i play games on line , i like to fight alone :D
besides i can connect mouse and keyboard to the xbox 360

1.) The new xbox 360 will not support DX10.
2.) Microsoft to this day still denies any Blu-Ray add on in the works or production.

Both of them are viable gaming solutions, it's just a matter of who you want to play with and if you willing to pay per month.

1) old games still work on the pc whereas consoles require the old console (im talking hay i want to play quake for some reason, or 1 want to play dr. mario and not have to buy the game again)

2) MODS, console games still have not tocuhed the surface of this or even seen the beach. Mods can make 1 game 5 different ones, Mods can make a game you already like that much better, mods can fix older games that devs no longer support and keep them going on. some good examples: classic doom on the doom3 engine for old times sake, The Hunted for HL2 MP, the balance patches for various games, all the drastic game types for Civ 3/4, the DM tools for Neverwinter nights

dont get me wrong consoles are fun as well, pc/lans can't quite give the same feeling as you and 3 buddies crowded around a tv playing ___ (i'd say gauntlet but that might make me seem older than i am) but anyone whos had the old MK or SF tourneys at their house will know what i'm talking about here

overclocking is a hobby. it never gives me a headache. and you don't have to OC a computer to play games.

my PC never had a Red Ring of Death. i'm not the one who has to worry about overheating

i'm not trying to be difficult. i think X-Boxes are fun. i just think PCs are a lot more fun if you know what you're doing.

2)
3) xbox and ps3 both overheat and shut down without added cooling (atleast with the originals)

so there are problems but having a 2 year old pc will play anything if u build it properly, and u can hook the pc up to the TV and use a controller, i just wish that games had split screen on the pc

and the xbox games are always missing stuff that the pc has, like tilting in cod4, or remapable controls
